Two days not enough? Head to Jamaica for a week-long of carnival reveling. Every year since 1990, the slowed-down melodic rhythm of Reggae takes a back seat to the energetic, upbeat tempo of Soca and Calypso.
From Easter Sunday to the end of the following weekend Jamaica host a plethora of flamboyant parties. With the main events taking place in Kingston, many of the smaller fetes take place about an hour away in Ocho Rios. Rise and wine to a breakfast party. Rock the boat to soca and dancehall while sailing along Kingston’s white sands coastline, then bacchanal on the beach till morning.
